I’m Cindy, the Moxie who is passionate about learning and teaching about credit card points and miles, creating a community of women explorers who are or are looking to be financially empowered.

Travel is about growth and empowerment, and the “game,” of travel hacking opens up opportunities. For years, whenever I would receive a credit card offer in the mail, I would look at it with disdain and think that it was a trap with it’s annual fee and 23.9% APR! So I resisted getting these credit cards, and now I think back to my years of debit card spend and I cry for points and miles not earned.

For several years I wanted to travel with my family (a husband and two offspring) to Europe, but I’d look at airfare to Europe from the middle of the United States, for four people!, and I would back out of the search browser.

I then started to read all of the travel hacking websites, joined the Facebook groups, scoured the relevant subreddits, and consumed all the information. it became my hobby and my prevailing interest.

Within two years of playing “the game,” I was able to travel with my family internationally twice in one year. One trip was to South America for a family wedding, and a few months later we took a three week trip to Europe. My kids got to visit places their grandparents had lived, and they got to see where their parents honeymooned in Paris over 20 years ago.

Moxie and Miles is a space for me to share what I have learned, and imbue it with a spirit of Moxie, a call to teach what I have learned, and to talk about the best personal item for your international flight.
